Why This Tool Exists

I'm a pilot who also happens to know programming. I built this tool because I struggled to quickly find information in our contracts, and I felt smart tools were missing for our community. This is built by a crew member, for crew members — with privacy as a priority.

Your Privacy Comes First

As a fellow crew member, I understand the importance of privacy.

What happens when you sign up?

Almost nothing changes. We only ask for an email to prevent bots from abusing the service. Your searches remain anonymous, we don't track what you look for, and your email is never shared with anyone. You can use privacy-focused emails like ProtonMail or Tutanota.

Why sign up then?

  • It helps me understand how many people actually use and value this tool, so I can justify developing it further
  • It unlocks features like uploading your own documents for personal analysis — something users requested from the original search tool
  • It allows me to potentially add airline-specific features in the future if there's enough interest

What we explicitly do NOT do:

  • We have no connection to any airline, union, or employer
  • We cannot and will not share your data with your employer or union
  • We do not store browser data for tracking purposes
  • We do not link searches to user accounts
  • All anonymized logs are periodically deleted

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide the service:

  • Account Information: Email address and password (securely hashed) when you create an account
  • Anonymized Usage Data: Search queries are stored without user identification to improve our search algorithms, then periodically deleted
  • Uploaded Documents: If you upload documents for personal analysis, these are stored privately and associated with your account. You are responsible for the content you upload.

We do not collect browser fingerprints or use tracking scripts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

  • Provide and maintain the service
  • Send transactional emails (verification, password reset)
  • Prevent automated abuse and enforce fair usage limits
  • Improve search quality using anonymized query data (periodically deleted)
  • Respond to support requests

3. Email Communications

We send emails only for:

  • Email verification when you sign up
  • Password reset requests
  • Important service announcements (rare)

We do not send marketing emails or share your email with third parties.

4. Data Security

We protect your data using:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Bcrypt password hashing (your password is never stored in plain text)
  • Secure token-based authentication
  • Regular security updates

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide core functionality:

  • Brevo: For sending transactional emails only
  • Anthropic (Claude): For AI-powered contract analysis
  • Voyage AI: For semantic search embeddings
  • Google OAuth: Optional sign-in method (you can use email instead)

These services process only the minimum data required and are not given access to your identity or search history.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

  • Account data: Until you request deletion
  • Uploaded documents: Until you delete them or your account
  • Anonymized search logs: Periodically deleted
  • Password reset tokens: 1 hour (then automatically deleted)
  • Browser data: Not stored for tracking

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your uploaded documents
  • Request correction of inaccurate data

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
